Full M&E Installation – Regency Manor Care Home, Hunstanton

Project Overview

We were appointed to deliver the full mechanical and electrical (M&E) installation for the newly constructed 71-bed Regency Manor Care Home in Hunstanton. This large-scale project required a comprehensive and coordinated approach, ensuring that all building services met the highest standards of safety, energy efficiency, and comfort for long-term care residents.

Objectives

  • Deliver a full M&E package covering all electrical and mechanical building services.
  • Ensure systems complied with CQC requirements and relevant healthcare standards.
  • Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable solutions to support long-term operational efficiency.

Scope of Works

Electrical Installation

  • Mains distribution and submains cabling.
  • General power, internal and external lighting, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Nurse call and staff alarm systems.
  • Fire alarm, access control, and safety systems.
  • TV and data infrastructure installation.

Mechanical Installation

  • Full domestic hot and cold-water distribution.
  • LTHW heating installation, including plant room and distribution pipework.
  • Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems.
  • Above-ground drainage and sanitaryware installation.
  • Integration of energy-efficient systems to support long-term sustainability.

Project Challenges

Delivering a project of this scale required close coordination across multiple trades to meet tight deadlines while ensuring full compliance with CQC and healthcare regulations. Our in-house team worked collaboratively with the main contractor and care sector specialists to integrate both mechanical and electrical systems seamlessly. Maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship was critical to achieving a reliable and fully compliant installation.
