As the nights start to draw in, the team at JH Electrical Services (Leics) Ltd has been busier than ever. With several large projects now moving towards the finish line, we wanted to share a quick look at what’s been happening on site.

New Build Care Homes

Care home developments remain a big part of what we do, and this autumn is a key time for two of our biggest projects.

At Bishops Waltham, our team is delivering the electrical package for a 59-bed new build care home, with completion currently estimated for the end of 2026 with second fixing coming to an end and the final push in sight.

In Radcliffe on Trent, we’re delivering the full M&E package at Harrisons Mill Care Home, also due for completion this autumn, we are putting the finishing touches on the home curently, with handover in the coming days and weeks.

Projects like these call for careful planning, a tidy site and clear communication with the wider build team, so everything lines up from first fix through to handover.

Peterborough and Beyond

Our 80-bed care home in Peterborough, where we’re delivering the full M&E installation, continues to be a standout for the team. Second fix works have begun as we look to push for a handover in the new year

It’s great to see a project we started with a regular client come together, and it shows what a team working well together can do on a large-scale build.

Keeping Things Local

While the big projects keep us busy, we haven’t lost sight of our roots. We continue to carry out rewires, refurbishments and upgrades for homes and businesses across Leicestershire, including a number of rewires, which included a new consumer units, new wiring, sockets, switches and lighting, all tested and certified to BS 7671.

Whether it’s an 80-bed care home or a family home, we treat every job with the same care and attention to detail.

Safety, Standards and Team

Quality and safety stay at the heart of everything we do. As an NICEIC approved contractor with SMAS Worksafe accreditation, we’re proud to work to high industry standards on every site. Our engineers are DBS checked, and we aim to leave every job tidy, fully documented and ready for handover. We have recently had 2 new first year apprentices start with the JH team, but before they can get stuck in on site, they are completing all health and safety training required to keep themselves and everyone esle safe.

Looking Ahead

With several projects due to complete this autumn, we’re already planning for what comes next. If you’ve got a new build, refit, upgrade or maintenance contract coming up, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to our clients, suppliers and the whole JH Electrical Services team for their continued hard work and support. Watch this space for more updates!
